Up for sale is a 1972 Yamaha DT250 Motorcycle. Clear Title. 5,479 original miles. Built in 3/72. All original. Frame # DT1F-128805. Engine # DT1F-28805. It does not run, has been sitting since the late 1980s. Motor turns over with tons of compression. Has spark. Front and rear brakes work as they should .Shifts through the gears. Bike is complete. Gas tank is solid. Inside is clean with no rust. Chrome has little to no pitting. Everything is solid, no holes. Paint is super nice, only one tiny ding on left side of tank. Tires are original, show some dry rot. With a carburetor cleaning and battery would make a nice running vintage 1972 DT250 Yamaha motorcycle.  Please see all pictures before bidding. Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650

Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 —  according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.

2011 World Supersport Champion Chaz Davies

Chaz Davies has captured the 2011 Supersport World Championship, completing a triumphant return to the series for Yamaha. Davies, the 2008 Daytona 200 winner, finished the Magny-Cours round in sixth place, giving him an insurmountable 35-point lead over Hannspree Ten Kate Honda‘s Fabien Foret with one race remaining. The championship comes in Yamaha‘s return from a one-year absence from the series.
