Vincent All description

This switch is a very high quality, faithful copy of the Miller PR18G four position headlight switch as fitted to Vincent (and other) motorcycles. This is made in the United Kingdom from high quality materials and made to the correct original appearance and function. The original 4 positions were OFF, CHARGE, HIGH, LOW, but many people today fit the wrong three position Miller replica switches made in India & the Far East  (often the poorly made switches are sold in a container with the Union Jack on it!). The incorrect ones are easy to identify because they will often have a Phillips head screw holding the knob on, and will have the incorrect  3 position marking on the plate .

High quality English craftsmanship, now available in the U.S.A.

Top 10 Album Covers featuring Motorcycles

1 of 11Next Last   Motorcycles and rock ‘n’ roll. Ever since The King threw his leg over his ’56 Harley-Davidson and the Black Rebels rolled into Carbonville, the combination of motorcycles and rock have been as combustible as gas and spark. Early moto-rock lived for the most part on the fringes of pop music, in the pomped-up rockabilly of guys like Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent.

Nigerian King’s Rudge Multi, Plus Many Other Rare Motorcycles, For Sale At Bonhams Auction

Thu, 22 May 2014

The upcoming Bonhams Banbury Run Sale is set to be a motorcycle enthusiast’s dream, with 102 lots of iconic bikes available to the highest bidder. Within the sale, an intriguing duo of Brough Superiors will be offered for auction from a family synonymous with motorcycles for generations – Myerscough. The motoring history behind the Myerscough family began in 1893 when Leonard Myerscough opened a business repairing and selling bicycles, followed by motorcycles and automobiles. At the peak of this business, five locations serviced the Liverpool area under the banner L Myerscough & Sons Ltd. Encouraged by his father, the eldest son, Len Jr, took up dirt track racing in the late 1920s, enjoying success as a contracted team rider for both the Belle Vue Aces and Preston teams from 1928 to 1931.

Behind the “Bathing Suit” Picture

Fri, 09 Jan 2009

Few motorcycle photographs are as iconic as that of the famous Bonneville “Bathing Suit Picture.” While you have undoubtedly seen this image before, you may not know the story behind it. The scantily clad and debatably crazy rider was a man by the name of Roland “Rollie” Free. The bike, often thought by many to be a Vincent Black Shadow, was in fact a Black Lightning – the fastest Vincent ever to see production.
