Triumph Trophy description

For sale is a vintage 1965 Triumph Trophy motorcycle. It is a model TR6 SR DU19326 650cc and it runs and sounds good. Mileage is unknown. This bike has been partially restored over the years. It was fixed up where it sat in an old barn in Illinois. The bike is almost completely original, with the exception of a few parts. It recently had a tune up, carburetors cleaned, and a new battery. Instruments have been mounted but not hooked up yet. All the lights function and work good, but there is a small dent on top of the headlamp. There is also a small chip in the black paint on the left side cover. You will see in one of the pictures a piece/crack in the frame where the chain is barely visible. This was here when we found it, I do not know the cause of this. I assumed there was a chain malfunction previously and forced a piece to break away. The chain has proven itself to be fine and everything still functions normally. Besides those defects the motorcycle overall is in nice shape and runs great. Title in hands. Thanks for looking!

McQueen’s Husky on the Auction Block

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Thirty-two years after his death, Steve McQueen still reigns as the coolest movie star to ever ride a motorcycle. One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.

Price William The Duke Of Ducs And Other Motorcycles

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, visited Britain’s largest motorcycle show, Motorcycle Live, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. The visit saw the Duke astride numerous motorcycle models including UK icons Norton and Triumph as well as a Ducati 1199 Superleggera (one of the few men able to afford the $70,000 rarity). During his visit Prince William enjoyed a display of off-road riding – one of nine opportunities for visitors to ride at Motorcycle Live, eight of which are inside the halls of the NEC. He also met Dean Linehan, exhibitions director of MCI Exhibitions, the company that organizes the annual motorcycle exhibition.

2011 Triumph Speed Triple / Daytona 675R Review – First Impressions

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

It’s moments like these that remind me how awesome my job is. These past two days I’ve had the pleasure of riding Triumph’s new Speed Triple and Daytona 675R through some of Southern California’s greatest roads and the region’s newest racetrack, Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Get a taste for my first ride impressions after the jump.
