Triumph Daytona description

The Triumph Daytona 955i is truly a beast! This one runs like the beast it was built to be with lots of low end grunt that will thrill even the most jaded riders (me)...love these modern Triumphs, built for real world riding, lots of room, stylish and loads of power that you don't have to wind the engine up like a jet to get to the top HP....great handling as well and these bikes were made to last, over engineered for years of reliability....This one has low miles and is in good shape with some cosmetic issues that can easily be remedied....has been dropped at very low speed and has some faring damage on both lower farings and the nose as well...mirrors have some damage but are fully functional, bar end is missing on right side and shield needs replaced...these items were all painted but not done professionally and all can be repaired and repainted or it would also be a good candidate for a Speed Triple conversion, just remove farings and install bug eye head lamps! The tank and tail section have no damage and original paint and look great, there is no other damage...mechanically the bike runs perfect with a fresh oil change she runs like a beast! Has Triumph carbon fiber off-road exhaust that sounds awesome...Corbin seat for added comfort and seat cowl a well as the passenger seat. Bike is A LOT of fun to ride and will make you grin like a Cheshire Cat every time out! Front tire and brakes are good, rear tire is getting low but still pliable with some tread and may or may not pass inspection...all mechanicals are fully functional. Comes with a clear title, this is a great rider and could be made mint again with minimal effort, but rest assured it is a solid bike and runs like a BEAST! $500 down at auction's end with balance due within seven days...I will accept a check of any kind but it must clear in my account before I release the bike and title... Good Luck!

2006-2009 Triumph Daytona 675 and Street Triple Recalled

Mon, 24 Sep 2012

Triumph is issuing a recall on the Daytona 675, the Street Triple and the Street Triple R for model years 2006-2009. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the regulator rectifier on the affected Triumph units may overheat, damaging its internal components. This may affect the regulator rectifier’s ability to control the charge capacity of the batteries, potentially leading the battery to become discharged completely.

Get your suspension set up, do it now!

Things are coming along nicely in the Speed Triple camp. I’ve finally removed my gaffa tapped heated jacket controls from the tank, and fitted a pair of Bridgestones sticky but durable BT-16’s. Last week a huge box full of R&G crash protection stuff arrived so that will be fitted at the weekend for peace of mind, just as well really because the Triumph now feels like a finely tuned scratcher thanks to a recent new discovery.

Charge Up you iPhone While You Ride

Motorcyclists can now enjoy total freedom on the open road confident in the knowledge that their cell phones, GPS, MP3 players and latest generation of iPhone/iTouch devices will remain fully-charged and in-service for the duration of the ride thanks to Powerlet’s plug and play systems. “Our product line was inspired by personal experience and the realization that there were no worthwhile options for clean, reliable on-board power for cell phones, stereos and GPS devices,” says Powerlet Products founder Adam Bonislawaski. “Before we came on to the scene, riders would bust out the black tape and wire strippers and cut into their bike’s fragile wiring to tie-in a cheap cigar lighter to power their devices.
