Triumph Bonneville description

2007 TRIUMPH Bonneville T-100, there were no speed cameras, goggles looked cool and chewing bubble gum labeled you a tearaway. Adding subtle touches to the uncluttered Bonneville form, the T100 wears a little extra to mark its connection with the classic deluxe speedster of the sixties. Its full-blooded and responsive 865 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers throaty acceleration, amplified by the mellow backbeat from its twin peashooter exhaust pipes. The T100s chassis delivers secure road-holding, effortless steering and easy-going manners, as youd expect of a motorcycle drawn from Bonneville stock. Likewise the powerful twin-piston calipers, operating on front and rear discs ensure excellent stopping ability. The T100s coachlines gold for the Opal White and silver for the Tornado Red are hand applied, with each craftsman initialing the underside of a completed tank. The Bonneville T100 remains a timeless machine. Two up its a blast made for trips to seaside cafes and country pubs. The sixty8 range of accessories can also be fitted to the T100. Why not go along to your Triumph dealer and test ride a true icon?

Twin-Engined Triumph Rocket Streamliner To Challenge Motorcycle Land-Speed Record At Bonneville

Thu, 29 Aug 2013

The 1,000-horsepower Castrol Rocket is currently undergoing testing for its upcoming assault on the land speed record of 376.156 mph, set in 2010, by Rocky Robinson with the Ack Attack streamliner. The goal: a 400-mph-plus record-breaking run. The 25-foot long x 2-foot wide x 3-foot high streamliner was constructed in cooperation by Hot Rod Conspiracy and Carpenter Racing and will compete in the Division C (Streamlined) – Type V (5) Spark Ignition, Over 2,000cc to 3,000cc class. Powering the Rocket are two heavily modified Triumph Rocket III engines. Each Carpenter Racing built engine was reduced from 2,294cc to 1,485cc (2,970cc total) to meet the 3,000cc maximum total displacement class rule requirement. While piston size remains the same stock 4-inch bore, stroke was reduced from 3.75 inches to 2.4 inches and redline increased from 5,750 rpm to 9,000+ rpm. There’s also one Garrett GT2876R ball bearing, liquid-cooled turbocharger per engine.

Triumph’s Wheel Bearing Recall Spreads to US for 2011-2012 Daytona 675, Street Triple and 2012 Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Earlier this week, we wrote about a recall in Canada for unapproved wheel bearings for the 2011-2012 Triumph Daytona 675 sportbike and its naked sibling the Street Triple. As expected, a similar recall has now been announced for the U.S., adding the Thunderbird and Thunderbird Storm cruisers to the campaign. The recall also affects the 2011-2012 Triumph Street Triple R but the Daytona 675R is not included in the recall.
