2013 Triumph Trophy Spy Photos

Spanish magazine Motociclismo has acquired photos of what it says will be a new 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 sport-tourer. According to Motociclismo, the 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 uses many of the same components as the recently launched Triumph Tiger Explorer, including its 1215cc inline Triple engine and shaft drive. The Trophy 1200 will likely also get traction control and ABS like the Tiger Explorer, as well as touring-oriented niceties such as an adjustable windscreen, heated grips, panniers and cruise control.

Powered by an all-new 1215cc three-cylinder engine producing a class-leading 135bhp with 89lb-ft. of torque, the Tiger Explorer sports a high specification that Triumph thinks will set a new benchmark in the adventure touring class. The thoroughly modern powerplant utilizes a new ride-by-wire electronic throttle system, allowing for a number of high-tech rider aids for added rider safety and comfort.
