Suzuki Other description

The Suzuki VL800 Volusia was named after Volusia County, FL as it was debuted at Daytona’s Bike Week in 2001. Designed to look like a full sized cruiser it is equipped with a liquid cooled 805cc V-Twin, deep fenders, a 4.5 gallon tank and the longest wheelbase in its class. This particular example is a 40th Anniversary Edition and as such is equipped with a Pearl White paint job with gold pin striping, a white speedometer face with orange back lighting as well as a rider and separate passenger seat both of which are adorned with chrome studs. It is optioned with a back rest with a matching pad, leather saddle bags with chrome studs, a windshield, driving lamps, floor boards, highway pegs and a performance exhaust system. Not only that but it also comes with the removable Voyager Trike Kit which mounts onto your bike with a belly bracket that fits onto the middle of your frame and 2 rear wheel axle brackets. You get a better ride with the Voyager Trike Kit because of its stable independent suspension which makes your ride smoother and softer than a trike with a solid axle. This kit has the painted fenders and metal rear guard, chrome rims and a trailer ball hitch with wiring. This trike has been recently serviced and everything is working as it should be. It is in terrific condition with just 21,227 mis. The previous customer spent over $5,000 with install for the trike kit which makes this trike a heck of a buy. Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

Mon, 28 Feb 2011

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.

First Laps of the 2015 Suzuki MotoGP Racer

Tue, 18 Jun 2013

Suzuki put its new prototype race bike through its first test laps alongside other MotoGP racers in preparation for its impending return to racing in the 2015 season. Test rider Nobuatsu Aoki, who had been playing a key role in the racebike’s development, took the new Suzuki 1000cc Inline-Four prototype out for a few shakedown laps before handing things over to Randy de Puniet who completed the bulk of the testing at Spain’s Catalunya circuit. After a day of testing, de Puniet put up the eighth-best lap time, clocking in at 1:42.676, just 0.772 seconds behind Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo who had the top lap time among all participants. It’s important to note however that Repsol Honda and series leader Dani Pedrosa did not participate in this test.
