Suzuki Reports Q2 2012-2013 Results

Suzuki made headlines earlier this week when its American subsidiary filed for Chapter 11 and announced it is quitting the automobile business to focus on motorcycles and its marine operations. American Suzuki‘s car business has been struggling for a while and it remains to be seen how these developments will affect its motorcycle business. The Top 1 Oil Ack Attack streamliner motorcycle, currently the world’s fastest motorcycle with a top one-way speed of 394.084 mph and a world record speed of 376.4 mph, will attempt to set a new world record by topping the 400 mph barrier during Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout by VARTA Powersports, Sep. 12-16. Designed and built from the ground up by Mike Akatiff, the Top 1 Oil Ack Attack’s bullet-shaped chassis is made from chromoly tubing.

2015 Suzuki GW250F Revealed for China

Suzuki’s Chinese partner Haojue has revealed a new fully-faired variant on the GW250. Revealed in Shanghai, the new GW250F follows the original naked GW250 (known in some markets as the Inazuma) and the semi-faired GW250S offered in Asia and Europe. The GW250S is powered by the same liquid-cooled 248cc Twin equipped on its siblings, claiming 24.1 hp at 8500 rpm and 16.2 ft-lb.
