Suzuki Other description

This motorcycle is extremely fast and equally comfortable on the highway. The shift linkage is smooth and light, the brakes are powerful. The Dunlop Q2 tires have plenty of tread life. Once the road is open ahead of you, one twist of the throttle and you are straight to hyper space speeds. This is a very very fast motorcycle. 

Although looking almost identical with the 2001 hi-tech show bike), the reality of the 2008 B-King machine is essentially a stripped-down Hayabusa. Despite using the same 1340cc motor, the B-King is 10 hp weaker than the Busa. Ignition and fuel injection mapping are the primary culprits, but like its genetic donor, the B-King shares the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) digital fuel injection — featuring two-way selectable mapping. 

This particular motorcycle has been remapped, an aftermarket airbox and Two Brother's carbon fiber exhaust - to reclaim the power from the engine. Other modifications include: Dyno Jet PC-V Power commander, and a quick shifter. The brakes were upgraded with Galfer Front rotors and EBC front pads.  

The motorcycle has been adult owned and very well cared for over the two owners. The original owner was a older retired fighter jet pilot who sold the motorcycle to replace it with a faster one. He has a large number of bikes in his collection and simply needed to make some room. He added all the modifications to the motorcycle. He primarily used to motorcycle to commute to his offices on a daily basis on the express way. The majority of the miles on the bike were added in this manner. During our ownership, the bike has remained a garage kept motorcycle. We have used the motorcycle lightly, primarily as a Sunday driver or for short road trips. We have added about 2,000 miles during the 5 years of ownership. The motorcycle comes with all th paperwork from new - every receipt, and even the original owners manual. 

The chassis is slightly different than the Hayabusa and the exhaust exits under-tail in a bulbous, gargantuan display of tailpipe. These outrageous stock exhausts were not everyone's favorite and this bike has aftermarket replacements. ( the stock pipes are still available on ebay for the collector that wishes to return the bike to stock). 

The front end has a small cowling wrapped around the 60 Watt headlight. Turn signals are integrated into mini-fairings that flare out from the fuel tank with mesh scoops to direct airflow. Black inverted fork tubes head south, but unfortunately no DLC on the lowers like Hayabusa. Both suspension components offer compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustment. Brake rotors and three-spoke wheels are the same, but the radial-mount four-piston calipers are tailored for the B-King.

The instrument cluster features an analog tachometer, digital speedometer, fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, twin tripmeters, clock, maintenance interval, running time, average speed, gear position indicator, and a S-DMS mode indicator. The B-King comes equipped with a standard steering damper.

WSBK 2013: Aragon Race Report

BMW Motorrad Goldbet racer Chaz Davies scored his first career World Superbike double victory, taking both races at Spain’s Aragon circuit. The wins were the second and third of Davies’ WSBK career (the first came last year at Nurburgring for the ParkinGo Aprilia team) and the second ever double in the series for BMW. The Welsh rider and former AMA Pro Racing competitor has had some success at Aragon, getting his first career WSBK podium at the Spanish track in 2012.

Suzuki Reports Q1 2011-2012 Results

Suzuki’s motorcycle business saw a profit for the first time in 11 quarters despite selling 21.0% fewer motorcycles. In the quarter ended June 30, 2011, Suzuki saw an operating income of 300 million yen (US$3.8 million), compared to a loss of 1.8 billion yen (US$22.9 million) reported in the same quarter of 2010. Suzuki netted 75.4 billion yen (US$961.5 million) in motorcycle sales over the quarter, a year-on-year increase of 8.0% from 69.8 billion yen (US$890.0 million) in 2010.

Suzuki Provides Aid Following Chinese Earthquake

Suzuki is providing 10 million yen (US$100,500) in aid to the Red Cross Society to provide support for those affected by the April 20 earthquake in China’s Sichuan province. Suzuki‘s pledge is in addition to 1 million RMB (US$161,000) donated by Chongqing Changan Suzuki Automobile Co., a Suzuki joint venture with China’s Changan Group. The region in southwestern China was hit by a major tremor at about 8 o’clock in the morning, local time.
