Kevin Schwantz Visits Suzuki Headquarters Ahead of Suzuka 8-Hours

Former 500cc World Champion Kevin Schwantz recently visited Japan to take part in the official test for the 2014 Coca-Cola Zero Suzuka 8-Hours. Schwantz, who last year finished third at Suzuka riding for Team Kagayama, is part of the Yoshimura Suzuki Shell Advance Legend Racing Team and will ride alongside his 1986 Suzuka 8-Hour partner Satoshi Tsujimoto and Suzuki Moto GP test rider Nobuatsu Aoki. The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.

My favourite ever BSB brolly dolly has to be Keith Flint. He joined me on the grid back in 1997 at Brands Hatch before I nailed down my second championship with two race wins. A nicer bloke you couldn't ever wish to meet so it’s good to see him out and about regularly on his Crescent Suzuki prepared GSXR 1000.
