1976 Suzuki Other on 2040-motos
Suzuki Other tech info
Suzuki Other description
Up for sale is my 1976 Suzuki RE5 motorcycle. The bike is in very good condition for its age and has NEVER been restored. That being said it does show signs of being 40 years old including paint chips on the tank and some rust pitting on various chrome pieces. It runs and rides very well I have put close to 300 miles on the bike this year. there is a splitting seam on the seat, the muffler guards are dented, one of the circle reflectors on the end of the rear turn signal is missing, The plastic guard on the radiator has a missing fin and the one below it is cracked as well. It has aftermarket rear shocks although I do have some factory units. The injection oil cap is cracked, the tank has been properly cleaned and I applied Red Coat to the inside to seal out any rust. The oil injection system appears to work but I have still been mixing in the tank 100:1. This is a fun bike to ride, and a fun bike to be seen on. People love to stop and look at it and ask questions most having never seen a rotary engine motorcycle before. I have gotten a lot of compliments on this bike. But, It's time for someone else to enjoy it. This is truly a collectors item. Serious buyers please feel free to call me at 712-229-9751 with any questions I am more than happy to answer them! Thank you, Jason
I prefer local pick-up but will ship at buyers expense. Keep in mind this bike is 40 years old please look at the pictures carefully what you see is what you get. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. |

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results
Tue, 20 Mar 2012Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.
Suzuki Forecasts 9% Increase in North American Sales in 2011-2012 Fiscal Year
Thu, 23 Jun 2011Suzuki Motor Corporation released its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2012, predicting a 9.4% increase in worldwide motorcycle unit sales including a 9.0% increase in the North American market. The fiscal forecast, delayed from Suzuki’s previous quarterly report in May because of the uncertainty caused by the March 11 earthquake, paints a positive picture for the current fiscal year. Suzuki forecasts sales of about 55,000 units in North America, an increase from about 50,000 units sold the previous fiscal year.
2014 WSBK – Assen Results
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
