forsale is a 1976 Suzuki gt500 twin two-stroke.  This motorcycle has been reconditioned not restored. It is not a trailer queen and is ridden on a regular basis.   It has had a full tune up and fresh fluids plugs battery etc.  the carbs were cleaned soda blasted and rebuilt.  Engine cases have been professionally polished with new gaskets, hardware and decals. Tank side cover and oil tank have been professionally painted and new tank emblems. Tank is spotless on the inside. New seat cover.     Bike always starts 1-3 kicks depending on how many  days/weeks it sits.  New non vacuum petcock so you can manually shut off the gas which is nice for storing over the winter.  Chrome is in good shape for its age  it does have some pitting and blemishes  all lights and brakes work correctly. No leaks of any kind. Overall a well maintained,fantastic running bike. Included below is a video demonstrating the bike and a cold start and idle. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost. Today at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, Suzuki unveiled its V-Strom 1000 Concept. Heavily rumored to receive similar styling updates as its V-Strom 650 stablemate, Suzuki instead turned to its 1988 DR750S, the company’s first big on/off road machine, for inspiration, taking many by surprise. The updates are more than just skin deep, as the entire motorcycle has been redesigned.

Yoshimura Suzuki‘s James Stewart captured his third win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season and 48th 450 class victory of his career, tying him with Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time win list behind Jeremy McGrath‘s 72. Racing before a crowd of 50,856 fans at Ford Field in Detroit, Stewart took the lead from holeshot-taker Cole Seely shortly before the end of the second lap and led the rest of the 20-lap race for the win. Stewart led by as much as 7.1 second but eased off at the end, crossing the finish less than two seconds ahead of Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto.

Motorcycle Retro is a pet project of former Motorcyclist editor Mitch Boehm, launching as Motorcyclist Retro in early 2008 under the Source Interlink media umbrella. It featured a contemporary look at motorcycles of the 1960s through the 1980s. However, the circulation numbers of MR didn’t meet the expectations of the media conglomerate, and they cancelled production of the magazine after just two issues.
