MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season

MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.

Suzuki officially launched its new GW250 B-King inspired motorcycle as its flagship model for China. Presented at the China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition (CIMAMotor 2011), Suzuki GW250 will be produced in China first for the domestic market but will later be exported to Europe, Indonesia and Central and South America. Hopkins Breaks Hand in Testing Crash – Yes, THAT Hand

Crescent Fixi Suzuki racer John Hopkins has broken a bone in his right hand during the first day of testing at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit. The injury was to the same hand Hopkins injured last season that eventually led to the amputation of the tip of his ring finger. Hopkins high-sided entering a corner riding a 2011-spec Suzuki GSX-R1000 (the 2012 superbike was not yet ready).
