Hang-On Arcade Game Creator Honored
Fri, 11 Feb 2011If you grew up in the ’80s and spent some a lot of time in arcades, you’re probably familiar with the game “Hang-On”. Released in 1985 by Sega Enterprises, motorcycle racing game “Hang-On” broke ground by using a motorcycle-shaped seat as a controller. Players raced a virtual motorcycle on a track, leaning on the plastic motorcycle to steer the in-game bike.
Bautista: Brands Hatch: Suzuki GSV-R800
Mon, 09 Aug 2010MOTOGP man Alvaro Bautista enjoyed a few laps of Brands Hatch at the weekend's British Superbike action, entertaining the crowds on Suzuki's GSV-R800 racer. Bautista was joined by former British Superbike Champion John Reynolds and BSB front-runner Tommy Hill, who also took a spin on the 240bhp machine. The dude in the background on the last image, riding a GSV-R, is Crescent Suzuki boss Paul Denning.
WSBK 2013: Jerez Race Report
Mon, 21 Oct 2013Eugene Laverty did everything he could, scoring a pair of race wins but it was not enough as Tom Sykes rode smartly and conservatively at the season finale in Spain, securing his first ever World Superbike Championship. Sykes landed in Jerez with a 37-point lead over Laverty and a 38-point lead over Sylvain Guintoli. While Laverty battled Marco Melandri to win Race One, Sykes coasted comfortably in third for most of the race to score 16 points, enough to clinch the title.
