2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. Motorcycle So Big It Needs Training Wheels

Apparently, the American motto of “bigger is better” has struck a chord with someone in China, of all places. This giant beast of a motorcycle measures over 14 feet long and almost eight feet tall, and was built by a Chinese sewage plant worker in his spare time. The motorcycle is so big, it needs outriggers to make sure it doesn’t tip over.
