SELL WORLDWIDE 1972 Norton Combat Commando, with clear title. The engine needs overhaul. Connecting rods rotate on journal, but broken piston pieces are jamming flywheels. Cam needs to be re-ground. Lifters and push rods are missing. Cylinder head has been re-sleeved. Combat Head has the "C" stamped on it. Valves and rockers are installed. I recommend overhaul. Exhaust threads are very good. Spark plug threads are very good. Transmission seems good, shifts good. Clutch and primary seem good. All cables need to be replaced. Front hydraulic line needs to be replaced. Seat needs recovering. Gas cap and fuel petcocks are missing. Centerstand works well. Side stand is missing. Any motorcycle parts that you do not see are NOT included. Norton Signs Cameron Donald to Race Isle of Man TT
Thu, 20 Mar 2014Norton Motorcycles has signed two-time TT winner Cameron Donald to a three-year contract to race in the Isle of Man TT. Donald will ride the Norton SG3 sportbike in the Dainese Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT classes, starting both races seeded 19th. That matches the number of the late Steve Hislop, the last Norton rider to win on the Isle of Man with a victory in the 1992 Senior TT race.

The Virginia-based Moto Electra has been an active participant in electric motorcycle racing for the last few years, competing against much larger, better funded teams with a race bike using an electric motor and 1950s Norton Featherbed frame. That melding of old and new has produced surprising results, including podium finishes in the TTXGP and victory in a race featuring both electric and gas-powered motorcycles.
Norton Motorcycles Begins Shipping Units to US
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Norton Motorcycles has begun shipping its Commando 961 to American dealerships, marking the first delivery of new motorcycles from the brand to the U.S. in over 30 years. The shipped models are also some of the the first batch of motorcycles to roll out of Norton’s new Hastings House manufacturing facility.
