2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
Vespa 946 Production Model Confirmed for North America
Mon, 19 Mar 2012Piaggio confirmed it will be importing the production version of its Vespa 946 (a.k.a. the “Quarantasei“) to North America, representing the next generation of scooters from the iconic Italian brand. Piaggio Reports Q2 2013 Results
Fri, 26 Jul 2013The Piaggio Group reported a 12.1% decrease in net sales over the opening six months of 2013, the company’s worst first half showing since 2004. Net sales totaled 671.5 million euros (US$891.9 million) over the first six months, compared to 764.1 million euros reported in the same period of 2012. Piaggio still earned a net profit of 25 million euros (US$33.2 million ) in the first half, but that’s a 26.1% drop from last year’s 33.8 million euros.
