Moto Guzzi Mille GT description

1989 Moto Guzzi MILLE GT - The Black Stallion

Up for sale is this classic Moto Guzzi "muscle bike", coming out of an elite collection that is being refocused.

Very complete and original, excellent running and cosmetics, a highly desireable model from the best era of a great brand ... one very collectable bike.

Despite being an excellent example of a rare, exciting Italian sport motorcycle, this machine no longer "fits" in our portfolio.

The Mille GT was developed to offer a more rounded, but still sporty, alternative to the Ducatis of the period.

It is an impressive sport touring machine with a very powerful motor with tons of character.

Very rare, very rideable, very, very Bad to the Bone.

If you have never ridden a Guzzi of this vintage... Just imagine having an American v8 big block between your legs... When you give it a rev the whole bike rumbles...

It's an awesome engine... In a classic and comfortable bike.

Handles very well, good brakes, great sound and very practical set up for solo or 2-up touring.

948cc ... big torque ... solid power ... around 530 lbs

As with all Guzzis ... they are practically bulletproof, extremely low maintenance bikes.

Shaft drive so no chain and sprockets to replace constantly ...

Everything on the bike is in top working order ... just received full service.

New battery, all new fluids, carb sync and tune, etc etc etc...

New brakes, new plugs, everything maintained ...

49 K original miles - starts, runs, shifts and rides perfect - no issues, but we do not have prior service history.

We have owned the bike for a few years and ridden occaisionally.

Has good rubber... Needs nothing - ready to ride!

A completely unique riding experience that must be sampled to believe...

Bike has clean title and current California reg.

We can arrange professional shipping to any US location at your expense.

The Piaggio Group reported a 9.1% decrease in net sales over the first nine months of 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, thanks in large part to a strong decline in the European market for two-wheelers. According to Piaggio‘s third quarter 2012 report, the Italian manufacturer recorded 706.3 million euros (US$913.8 million) in motorcycle and scooter sales, compared to 777.2 million in sales over the same period of 2011. Piaggio Multimedia Platform iPhone Connectivity Announced for Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter

Thu, 05 Jul 2012

Piaggio announced a new iPhone connectivity system set to debut on its new X10 maxi-scooter. The Piaggio Multimedia Platform (PMP) will be available as a kit for the 125cc, 350cc and 500cc versions of the Piaggio X10, and eventually may be introduced to other models in the Piaggio Group (which would include the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa.) Designed by Re:Lab, the PMP system  turns an iPhone into an onboard computer and secondary display. The kit mounts the iPhone over the Piaggio insignia on the center of the X10′s handlebar which, from the rider’s perspective, puts it just below the scooter’s standard instruments.
