The new F4 is not an evolution of the previous motorcycle, but it is a new project that has been studied down to the last nut and bolt, from the first to the last curve of the bodywork. No mass produced street motorcycle can boast as many accolades as the MV Agusta F4, which is the absolute reference for performance, speed and raw beauty. The F4 is the synthesis of Italian craftsmanship, no compromise design principles and the application of the most technologically advanced materials in a single motorcycle.

The F4 is a pure two-wheeled work of art.

The new 186 horsepower MV Agusta F4 boasts a newly engineered in line 998cc 4-cylinder engine complete with twin shower fuel injectors assisting each cylinder. Other standard features include a new electronic injection system featuring 49 mm throttle bodies with a patented Torque Shift System (TSS), allowing variable lift intake.

Ergonomics has also improved, the lighter frame improves handling, while the chassis with revised geometry enhances riding comfort. Moreover, the 2010 F4 is 22 lbs. lighter than its predecessor, weighing in at a lithe 423.5 lbs. total weight.

The impressive machinery is fitted with a new Magneti Marelli 7 SM ECU and 4-1 valve exhaust system with a new single sided swingarm. Other brand new standard features present include a Traction Control MK II system with eight varying levels of adjustability along with a twin-map ECU.

MV Agusta Teases 2013 Brutale 1090 Line-up – Video

MV Agusta released a video teasing its three-bike four-cylinder 2013 Brutale lineup. Joining the Brutale 675 in MV Agusta‘s naked streetbike offerings will be the Brutale 1090cc, the Brutale 1090R and the Brutale 1090RR (pictured above). The base model MV Agusta Brutale 1090cc will replace the 920 version that was offered in 2012, which shouldn’t be a surprise with the launch of the 675 version this year.

Late last year it was announced that MV Agusta would partner with Yakhnich Motorsport and field two F3 675 triples in World Supersport and one F4 1000 in the premier World Superbike class. In this video, team rider Jules Cluzel, who is stepping back into World Supersport after one season in Superbike, puts the F3 675 triple through its paces during testing at Portimao. The video is composed entirely of on-board shots both in front of and behind Cluzel, which, admittedly, doesn’t always produce the most dramatic video.
