2014 MV Agusta Brutale, F3 and Rivale Models Recalled for Loose Swingarms

MV Agusta is recalling several 2014 motorcycles because of a defect in the screw securing the swingarm pin. The recall affects 223 units of the Brutale 1090 RR (Corsa edition), Brutale 800, Brutale 675, F3 675, F3 800 and Rivale manufactured between Dec. 18, 2013 and March 10, 2014.

Late last year it was announced that MV Agusta would partner with Yakhnich Motorsport and field two F3 675 triples in World Supersport and one F4 1000 in the premier World Superbike class. In this video, team rider Jules Cluzel, who is stepping back into World Supersport after one season in Superbike, puts the F3 675 triple through its paces during testing at Portimao. The video is composed entirely of on-board shots both in front of and behind Cluzel, which, admittedly, doesn’t always produce the most dramatic video.

When he signed with the team, Eugene Laverty said he would give all he possibly could to bring Suzuki back to the top of the podium once again. Well, it sure didn’t take the Northern Irishman long to accomplish that goal, winning the very first race of the 2014 season at Australia’s Phillip Island course. The win was Laverty’s third in a row, including the final two races of the 2013 season when he raced for Aprilia.
