Kawasaki Vulcan description

2008 Kawasaki 900 Classic LT

                                                Just in time for Christmas

This bike is ready to go, just about every mod imaginable has been taken care of and it is a low mileage vehicle. I am just trying to get what I paid for it and not adding anything for the mods I have done. It is in excellent condition, has saddle bags, a 2 up seat with a backrest and luggage rack. The bike has a Cobra aftermarket exhaust system, an Arlen-Ness intake in place of the stock intake, Cobra electronic fuel processor, gear shift indicator, Cobra Tachometer, drive gear replaced to reduce RPM's at higher speeds, seat redone by American Soft Seats on the east coast, passenger pegs replaced with foot-boards, battery quick disconnect installed under seat. I have customized an alloy wheel and replaced the stock spoked front wheel. This has eliminated the need for a tube on the front wheel, makes it easier to get back on the road when you have a flat on a tubeless tire. I customized the alloy wheel so that all the parts on the front wheel, bearings, caliper and pads have remained stock items. The front wheel spacers are the only items that are right and left specific. Rear wheel is a stock alloy wheel with tubeless tire. With all the mods this bike is ready to go and is a bargain for whoever buys it. For those interested most of the stock items that were replaced are included.

Oh hi there Mobil!

Wed, 07 Mar 2012

There was a time when Grand Prix racing was a lucrative affair, with the bikes and their riders resembling the fag packets that sponsored them. However, two unfortunate and costly blows hit the paddock; the banning of tobacco advertising in 2005 followed by the global economic crisis. The off-shoot saw grid numbers drastically dwindle with staple teams, like Kenny Roberts' outfit, and manufacturers, Kawasaki and Suzuki, succumbing to the events and disappearing.

Kawasaki Recalls 20,512 Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-6R

Mon, 27 Feb 2012

Kawasaki is issuing a recall on 2008-2011 Ninja ZX-10R and the 2009-2012 Ninja ZX-6R sportbikes due to a defect affecting the batteries. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the regulator/rectifier on affected units may not sufficiently charge the battery. As a result, the battery may unexpectedly be fully discharged, causing the engine to stall.

2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R – 170 hp At The Wheel!

Fri, 12 Nov 2010

A new, somewhat clandestine, video surfaced on YouTube just today revealing that Kawasaki’s new 2011 ZX-10R produces over 170 hp at the rear wheel in stock trim. Taking this at face value, that’s at least 17 hp more than the 2010 ZX-10R produced for us in our 2010 Literbike Shootout. This puts the new big Ninja within swinging distance of BMW’s S1000RR, that in the same shootout gave us just under 176 hp.
