Kawasaki Vulcan description

Greetings,

This was a project bike of mine and it is almost done. I am selling it because I am really a fan of old inline 4 cylinder bikes and I just got one in on a trade so I want my lift free to work on it. V-Twins? Meh....just not my thing.

I had to split the case to replace a broken shift shaft tie rod (see pics). So the engine has been completely gone through. The bike fires right up and idles fine.

The bike has new....(and when I say new I mean zero miles):
*New front brake pads, caliper pistons, new seals and new braided steel brake lines
*New fork gaiters
*New tires front and rear
*All new control cables
*Fresh Army theme OD Green paint and graphics
*New seat covering material supplied
*New single Mikuni Round Slide VM Series Carburetor - 38mm
*Custom fabricated fueling rail for carb
*Have original carbs if you want to go that route (just ask me about that) :)
*Custom straight pipe exhaust wrapped with header tape (yes it is loud)
*Shocks and forks serviced with new oil
*New front brake master cylinder

I have all the radiator cowlings and misc stock pieces in a box along with the original seat and covering material if you want to use it. I was going to put a solo bobber seat on it.

What the bike needs:
*Front brake fluid and lines bled
*Radiator shrouds screwed in place
*decide on a seat and install
*run fuel lines for tank (I used a fueling bottle to run it)
*shaft drive final drive housing needs to have oil added

Will entertain reasonable offers. I want it gone.

Can't think of anything else right now. Give it some love and enjoy.

I will not ship.  You can have it picked up if you like.  I will give signed Florida title to person picking up bike.

2014 AMA Supercross – Daytona Results

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Ryan Villopoto was dominant in Daytona, leading all 20 laps to win his third race of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki ride strengthened his hold on the 2014 AMA Supercross championship lead, padding his lead over Red Bull KTM riders Ryan Dungey and Ken Roczen. The reigning three-time champion was far and away the fastest racer on the Daytona International Speedway infield, posting lap times more than a second faster than anyone else.

Single-Cylinder Kawasaki Ninja Spotted in Indonesia

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

Based solely on recent history, you’d think the engineers at Kawasaki are strong believers of the “bigger is better” philosphy. You need only look at the Ninja ZX-6R which shook off the shackles of the 600cc supersport segment with a 636cc displacement, then came the Ninja 300 replacing the 250. New spy photos from Indonesia, however suggest there’s still room for smaller engines from Team Green.
