Kawasaki Other description
Bought a standard 1971 Kawasaki from a private seller in Virginia about 4 years ago and had it shipped to me in Bakersfield Calif. The shipping alone was 550.00$ and bought bike off craigslist for 1,000.oo dollars . Frame#GA-300909 Engine# FGAE 277909 / I have the bill of sale from the owner I bought from him in August of 2008, as you can see it was licensed in Virginia in 2008, if you decide to ride on the street , you will need to get some of the paper work from that states D.M.V. I never transferred it to my name because the bike was completely torn down and many parts were made , tested and built to fit so I was in no hurry to transfer bike till I was sure I was happy with the outcome. The bike was built for my son to ride to school when he turned 16, I made a decision that was not going to happen because of the out of control hit and run accidents in the Bakersfield area. ( Over 200 in the last year, the largest in the U.S. records show) And we know where all those people come from. So the bike was never transferred and licensed for my son.
The bike has many modifications done and I'll list what I can remember:
Frame striped down ,painted, swing pivot bored out to fit larger swing arm / KE 100
KE 100 swing arm modified to single shock mount with chain guide change and bang pad mount.
Works Performance Rear shock new.
Brand new complete seat from old stock.
New front and rear sprockets.
New chain and adjusters.
Kawasaki Team racing green color new paint and decals on tank and side panels .
Rear hub bead blasted , new bearings, new spoke kit, new aluminum D.I.D. rim with brake shoes, new street tires front and rear.
Low road race handle bars, all new cables and grips.
30mm KE front forks rebuilt with heavy springs/ Modified front fork brace to stiffen front end.
Double leading shoe front brake from Yamaha RD 125 to stop the faster bike.
New Excel front rim and spokes.
Engine disassembled all bearings, seals and gaskets replaced. Rotary valve case ported to match KE 175 manifold at 24mm.
This engine was built using computer C.A.D. information FMF uses, a 150 point information to build the 2 pipes and cylinder porting spec.
The extra pipe is available for 300$ more if you want a high RPM pipe to go with this bike, the pipe that's on it is a better street pipe and comes on quicker for stop and go. The head is a G31m racing part, the cylinder is a 5 port KE 100 that's been modified to fit this engine using a Wiseco 1st over piston . The standard Green Streak G31m cylinder is just too pipey to ride on the street and this set-up almost puts out the same power but at a broader power ban. Rotory Valve has been cut the match program spec. The carb. is 24mm from a KE 175. The bike has a total of 1 gas tank of time on it so it still needs to be broke in. There is still a lot more of stuff done but it might be boring to keep on so E-Mail with pertinent questions. I will require a 500$ deposit 48 hours after close of listing. I will work with buyer for them to pick-up or for the shipping to a location where you live. I can hold bike for 31 days.
No Existing Warranty on bike
