2013 Kawasaki Z 1000, I bought this bike on a whim from eBay 2 weeks ago, but now that its arrived, I don't think its for me. I am 55 yo and owned a 1972 Z1A900 in the 70's, so thought this would be cool like that was but much newer technology. And it is, but the overall styling isn't my taste, so I decided that rather than ride it, sell immediately and buy a European bike instead. Its sitting in my garage with other bikes warm and dry seeking new owner. Absolutely new with 17 miles...that's how far it is from home to the gas station, DMV, and back. Don't need to sell. I think its priced very reasonably considering what I just paid 2 weeks ago, and suits someone that likes the aggressive look Japanese streetfighter. 2013 Kawasaki Z800 Announced but US Availability Unlikely
Wed, 05 Sep 2012Kawasaki announced it will produce a new mid-sized naked streetfigther: the Z800. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look likely the Z800 will be imported to the U.S., but we’ll have to wait for an official word from Kawasaki. The 2013 Kawasaki Z800 is powered by an 806cc inline-four engine with styling inspired by its larger sibling, the Z1000.
WSBK 2013: Donington Park Race Report
Mon, 27 May 2013Tom Sykes had an outstanding weekend in front of his home fans, scoring a pair of wins at the World Superbike Championship round at the United Kingdom’s Donington Park. The Kawasaki racer led every session from first qualifying onwards, before leading all 23 laps in both races for the double. The double victory brings Sykes to within 4 points of series leader Sylvain Guintoli who had a decent weekend himself with a pair of podium finishes.
