Kawasaki Other description

As you can see from the pictures and video, this bike is like new. It is truly a time capsule.

It was in air conditioned storage until October of 2011 with 0 miles. At that time, it was purchased and had oil and gas for the first time.

I found it in March of 2012. It had only 1500 miles. I changed the oil, rebuilt the carbs, and put new tires on it.

It has to be the best and nicest LTD 440 out there. It should probably be at the Barber Museum in Birmingham.

The color is dark metallic blue.

The reason it was in AC storage for so long is that it was provided by Kawasaki as an example in a court case in Tampa. (a long one evidently)

I am downsizing my collection. Please call or message any questions.

We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.

2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.

AMA Supercross: 2012 Los Angeles Results

Mon, 23 Jan 2012

Chad Reed won his first race of the 2012 AMA Supercross season in Los Angeles but the victory was overshadowed by a first-lap collision that left Trey Canard and Ryan Morais with broken backs. Racing for Team Honda Muscle Milk, Canard was injured on the first lap after catching a piece of some signage. That forced him to single a triple jump, putting him in the path of Star Valli Yamaha rider Ryan Morais who landed on Canard from behind.
