Kawasaki Other description

If you have less than 10 positive feedback, contact me before bidding. Otherwise your bid will be cancelled. This is the FOURTH time I am listing this bike due to non-paying bidders.

Up for auction we have a 1981 Kawasaki CSR 250 "barn find" project bike. It is in fair shape but needs a little cleanup. This would be a great project or parts bike. The bike was manufatured in 3/81 and last on the road in 1985 according to the inspection sticker. According to the odometer, it only has 2576 original miles! I am unsure if it runs and have not tried to start it, I'll see if I can get it to turn over before the auction ends. It appears to be 100% there. The tires are good and the chrome just needs to be cleaned up a little with some steel wool (trust me, I've seen and cleaned up worse to the point of being new looking!) The front brakes work, not that it really matters at this point. The gas tank is a little rough rust and dent wise and should be replaced. The seat is ripped, but not too bad, just minor tears. The bike has no title. There is no option for no title, hence why it says clear since I had to pick something. I bought it at an auction as a project but I am never going to get to it anytime soon, so it is time for her to find a new home. Please look at the pictures carefully, I have described it to the best of my ability but I'm not an expert on motorcycles. With a little time, you could have a nice bike, or just part it out and make a few bucks. I have a few more bikes that I will be listing, so check out my other auctions! I may be able to deliever locally for a fee, otherwise this bike is LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Cash only upon pickup.

A bid is a legal binding contract folks, if you bid on this item you are required to pay, no exceptions. I've had too many auctions where someone across the country bids on a local pickup only item only to back out after the auction's end, which leaves me with the fees to pay out of my pocket. Non-paying bidders will be reported to ebay and their account will be blocked. Winning bidder must contact me within 1 day of the auction's end to schedule pickup or the item will be relisted and no refunds will be given.

Payment is due and the item must be picked up within 7 days of the auction's end in Bally PA (19503) weekdays (weekends may work depending on my schedule) unless other arrangements are made prior to bidding.I also maybe able to have this item in the Rome Pa (18837) area for pickup during normal business hours Wednesday thru Sunday the next time we have a truck going up, which is usually once a week. Please contact me prior to bidding if you wish to pick this item up at the Rome location. Please ask any questions before bidding. Item is sold AS-IS. Additional info or pictures available upon request. Check out my store frequently for affordable parts and other cool stuff! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

UPDATE: The bike does turn over, almost as smooth as a new one would! All of the lights work, horn works, etc. It should run with a new spark plug. Happy bidding!

2012 Kawasaki Versys 1000 Makes North American Debut in Canada

Wed, 11 Jan 2012

As we’ve previously reported, the new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will not be imported to the U.S, but it will be available in North America in Canada as a 2012 model. Kawasaki Canada presented the Versys 1000 at its display at this past weekend’s North American International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto, for the new “adventure sport” model’s debut on this side of the Atlantic. While he can’t speak for Kawasaki USA’s decision making, Bob Calwell, district manager for Kawasaki Canada, he does note that the Canadian company does have a history of making different product selections.

BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.

WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
