1980 Kawasaki KZ1300 Touring light project. Clean and clear title, ready to transfer. Has not been on the road in several years but is in very good original condition. Original paint in rare blue looks great. 3,727 miles on the speedo but title says exempt so actual mileage can not be verified. Bike will start for a second with a good battery with choke on but will not stay running. Will probably need carbs cleaned and a tune up at the least. All electrical works, electric start, lights, signals, etc. Front and rear brakes are in working order. Throttle moves free and snaps back. Solid original exhaust. Shifts thru all gears. Tires hold air but have some weather checking. Key was lost over the years but all locks are unlocked and ignition works with any key. Good solid, all original project. WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
2014 WSBK – Donington Results
Mon, 26 May 2014Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. 2011-2012 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Recalled for Crankcase Oil Leak
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Kawasaki is issuing a recall on its 2011 and 2012 Ninja ZX-10R due to a potential oil leak in the crankcase. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, engine oil may leak from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R‘s crankcase from a machined area where the starter is mounted. Leaked oil may pool on top of the crank case and, under continued use, spill onto the rear tire, reducing traction and increasing the risk of a crash.
