1980 Kawasaki KZ1300 Touring light project. Clean and clear title, ready to transfer. Has not been on the road in several years but is in very good original condition. Original paint in rare blue looks great. 3,727 miles on the speedo but title says exempt so actual mileage can not be verified. Bike will start for a second with a good battery with choke on but will not stay running. Will probably need carbs cleaned and a tune up at the least. All electrical works, electric start, lights, signals, etc. Front and rear brakes are in working order. Throttle moves free and snaps back. Solid original exhaust. Shifts thru all gears. Tires hold air but have some weather checking. Key was lost over the years but all locks are unlocked and ignition works with any key. Good solid, all original project. Fri, 29 Jun 2012Looking at the pictures of Japanese firm Yamato's new Kawasaki Z1 you'd be hard pushed to tell it's not the real thing. But in fact it's a scale model only just over a foot long, made with incredible attention to detail with several years of development to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original 900cc Z1 of 1972. Using 3D scanning of real parts, the bike was scaled down to create this model, which has now gone on sale in Japan at an eye-watering £720 apiece.

Mon, 30 Jun 2014On his first attempt at the Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, road racer Jeremy Toye set a record in the premiere Open Class to win the category aboard a 2015 Kawasaki ZX-10R, celebrating the 30th year of the legendary Ninja brand. Prior to setting foot on the hill, Toye was confident he could get among the class leaders, aiming to beat the outright Pikes Peak motorcycle record, which was set by Carlin Dunne in 2012 with a time of 9:52.819. While that record remains intact, Toye was able to set a time of 9:58.687 to win the Open Class, finishing 6sec ahead of his closest rival, Fabrice Lambert aboard a Ducati.
