This is Kawasaki's original Super Bike in pristine condition!

Specific Details:

·        Bike is mechanically perfect, starts immediately, and all electrical components are operable

·        Professionally re-painted body set:  gas tank, side covers, tail section (vinyl stripe kit was not used)

·        Original tank badges and side cover emblems

·        Original chrome front and rear fender (front one was re-chromed)

·        Original 1973 tach and speedo(completely refurbished), grab rail, handlebar switches, shocks (these were re-chromed)

·        New maintenance – free battery with tender lead, electronic ignition added, new chain and sprockets

·        Original re-built 28 mm carb set

·        NOS hand grips direct from Japan

·        Original re-built front forks

·        Owner’s Manual and complete tool kit

·        New reproduction Doremi Collection 4-into-4 exhaust set (8-piece) with no stamp (like the original ’73 Z1s)

·        Frame, swing arm, battery box and all black parts have been powder-coated glossy black

·        Chrome, stainless or zinc-plated nuts and bolts

·        Original correct wheels with new stainless steel spokes and new Dunlop tires

This restoration was a purposeful effort to maintain the integrity of the first-year production Z1, using as many original parts as possible. The restoration work is absolutely flawless with attention to detail; unlike many of the quickly assembled reproduction examples you will find on eBay currently. The engine was completely taken apart during the restoration, and the rings, gaskets and valve guide seals were replaced. The bike has the correct head installed using a one-piece head gasket and hollow cams.

Corbin Rider Appreciation Day July 5 & 6 In Conjunction With Rebirth Of Hollister Rally

Corbin has announced that all vendor spaces on the lot are filled for their 4th Annual Rider Appreciation Day, held this year on July 5 and 6. Last year, Corbin had thousands of riders show up to help celebrate our country’s birthday and take part in the festivities and expects a much bigger crowd this year, since the city has approved the Hollister Rally and the event covers two days. Mike Corbin reported that the city is feverishly working on the final details in order to make this year’s Hollister Rally one to remember.

Michael Dunlop added another chapter to the Dunlop family history in the Isle of Man TT, winning the second Monster Energy Supersport race of the 2012 event. Dunlop led at the end of all four laps for his third career TT win. His uncle, Joey Dunlop, is the all-time leader in TT wins at 26 while his father Robert Dunlop has five.

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
