Kawasaki Ninja tech info
Kawasaki Ninja description
The Kawasaki Z1000 Special Edition combines a strong engine with an agile steering and modern technologies in a fairly sporty package.
The bike features an aluminum twin-tube frame that was especially developed for high speed riding. This modern frame hosts a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve 1,043 cm3, In-line four engine that rewards you with a maximum power of 138 PA at 9,600 rps and 110 Nm of torque at 7,800 rpm. Besides being strong, the Kawasaki Z1000 is also pretty good looking. You'll especially like the sharply sloped front cowl, the slim line-beam headlamp and the minimalist tail section. As far as wheels are concerned the bike rides on a pair of 5-spoke cast units shod in 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front and 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) rear tires. |

WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
Simon and Leo
Thu, 11 Aug 2011If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
