BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates
Tue, 03 Jan 2012In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
EICMA 2013: 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 First Impressions Video
Tue, 05 Nov 2013“It looks kind of angry!” That pretty much sums up what Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke thinks of Kawasaki‘s newly redesigned Z1000 and its “sugomi” design philosophy. And for those of you who feel turned off by today’s machines and their dependance on the latest electronics, Kawasaki says the Z1000 does not have traction control because they want to keep it raw and untamed. Silverstone Motorcycles launch night Thursday 29th
Wed, 28 Jul 2010TOWCESTER based Silverstone Motorcycles, has just announced a launch night on Thursday July the 29th as part of the build up to the UK round of the World Superbike Championship being held at the revamped racing circuit just two miles west of the impressive new premises. A dual celebration marking the conclusion of a massive refurbishment project, the fun packed evening also marks the unveiling of Silverstone Motorcycles as the latest Kawasaki dealer in the UK. With a raft of attractions including a special guest appearance by Kawasaki World Superbike star, Tom Sykes, a ticket prize competition for the WSB round itself, plus the chance to ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R round the new Silverstone Stowe circuit over the race weekend, the evening has been conceived as a way of launching the new dealership and welcoming as many Kawasaki fans as possible according to Managing Director, Nikki Lockyer.
