This is currently set up in land speed trim and holds a handful of landspeed records! The engine that is currently installed is a built motor with head work, cams, etc, to get a little more out of the tried and true parallel twin. The stock motor was removed and prepped for storage with less than 200 miles on it, and it comes with the bike. You get 2 engines (the installed one is built and is a total loss system, the stock one is crated and prepped)! The lighting circuits are currently disconnected as it was set up for race duty. The handlebars were swapped for some adjustable units as well. All in all this would make a great beginner bike for someone who doesn't mind putting in a little bit of effort to prep it for the street. Replace the built motor for the stock one and sell the built one and get a big part of your money back! 2015 Kawasaki Vulcan S Announced
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Kawasaki revealed a new cruiser model equipped with the 649cc parallel-Twin engine from the Ninja 650. The result is an entry-level cruiser with sportbike-derived power retailing for $6999 ($7399 with ABS). The fuel-injected engine is tuned for smooth power delivery, with revised camshaft profiles, intake funnel length, throttle body spacer and air intake for better low- and mid-range power delivery.

But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
Rossi, Pedrosa Fastest In Second Sepang MotoGP Test
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa topped the time sheets at the conclusion of the second MotoGP test at the Sepang track in Malaysia. Both clocked identical times of 1:59.999 to become the only riders to dip under the two minute mark the entire test. The hot and humid conditions in Sepang meant times wouldn’t be faster than they were in the first test here only a few weeks prior, and indeed, Rossi and Pedrosa’s time is 0.466 second slower than the fastest lap Marc Marquez set at the last test.
