2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. WSBK to Make Fake Headlight Stickers Mandatory for 2013

World Superbike racebikes will be required to have fake headlight stickers on their race fairings to more closely resemble their production series counterparts. The new regulation, set to kick in for the 2013 WSBK season, was designed to establish a closer link between the production model and the race-trim superbike. The new rules will also mandate 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Kawasaki Will Live The Legend With The Lone Ranger

Concentrating on a “Live the Legend” campaign line, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.  announced a tie-in with The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer. The powersports manufacturer will use this re-imagining of the classic story to carry product messages for its off-road motorcycles, four-wheel vehicles and street motorcycles.
