2008 KTM 50 SX Senior in excellent condition. The motor was just recently refreshed, both the top and bottom. A new OEM crank and piston were put in. There was nothing wrong with the old crank or piston, but just added for added reliability. The old crank and piston will go with the sale of the bike. The bike also has a brand new OEM clutch plus clutch basket; again this added for reliability. The bike also has a new seat cover and FMF silencer. Also, a new front and back rotor were put on, again not because there was anything wrong with the old brake rotors but to add extra safety. The bike will also come with brand new plastic and decals; I was going to put on but never got around to it. The tires as well as the sprockets and chain are all in excellent condition. The bike runs like new and needs nothing. The transmission oil was changed after every ride. I will also come with a new spark plug; It already has a new plug in it. Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood
Mon, 06 Jan 2014Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
Day 7 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Another
Mon, 13 Jan 2014After a day of rest, Sunday’s stage seven was characterized by rain during the night and a new Dakar country – Bolivia. After an early start at 4:30 in the morning, the first 62 miles of the special stage into Bolivia had to be shortened due to rain and poor visibility, low-hanging clouds that prevented the helicopters from taking off creating security issues. The route led across the Andes and towards the Bolivian border.

The majority of pit bikes are of Chinese origin and I guess, are best described as modern day monkey bikes. Yes Chinese, and I’ve witnessed them being thrashed round all day long without missing a beat, so Jonny Wong and co. are finally getting there on quality and reliability! Although Pit Bikes are designed for off road use, an extra few hundred quid spent on matching up wheels, fitting tarmac tyres and some crash protection will mean you’re track ready for a total of around £600.
