1983 KTM 504 NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1983 KTM 504 that I bought locally over the summer and rode once. I also rode it for about 15-20 minutes before doing this listing. It makes tire trenching power, idles, accelerates, shifts, and stops like it should. No smoke. The bike was set up for racing by an older gentleman years ago and it does have a Fox twin clicker rear shock. Both the rear shock and the front forks are going to need attention. The front and rear rims have screws in them to keep the tires from spinning on the rims. The kill switch will need replaced, the original seat cover has seen better days, and the front tire has a slow leak. Cold start up can be tough if the bike sits for awhile, but after it's warm it starts easily. I don't know a lot about this particular bike or model. I looked through the archives on eBay and found one like it for a Buy It Now price of $7,500.00. From what I have read this is a very rare bike. This bike is not restored - please look at the pics. Bajaj Auto Owns 25% of KTM
Mon, 15 Dec 2008In India, Bajaj Auto is a major player in two and three-wheeled vehicles. They originally purchased a 14.5 percent stake in KTM last year, which was increased to 20.9 percent earlier this year and has now officially reached 25 percent. The companies have been working together to develop high-efficiency bikes, sourcing for production and the assembling of KTM bikes in India for export to Europe under KTM branding.
2013 KTM 1190 Adventure Revealed in Leaked Brochure
Tue, 18 Sep 2012Pictures and details of an all-new 2013 KTM 1190 Adventure have emerged from a brochure that briefly appeared on KTM‘s official website. The document has since been removed but not before we got our hands on them. Expected to be unveiled at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, in just a few weeks, the latest adventure touring bike from KTM will be powered by a 1190cc V-Twin engine, not a 1290cc powerplant as initially expected.
Report: KTM Developing 375cc Twin for Bajaj
Tue, 08 May 2012Austrian manufacturer KTM is reportedly working on a new 375cc Twin-cylinder engine for Indian partner Bajaj. Bajaj owns a 47% stake in KTM and the two companies have worked together in the past for the KTM Duke 125 and Duke 200 as well as the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS (pictured above). According to India’s Business-Standard, KTM and Bajaj are collaborating on a new 375cc engine at Bajaj’s research and development facility in Akurdi, India, outside of Pune.
