Husqvarna Other description

2009 Husqvarna TXC 450, NEEDS NOTHING READY FOR THE TRACK FINANCING AVAILABLE - TXC450 - HUSQVARNA The new TXC 450 is an exact replica of the machine raced by Glen Kearney and Gordon Crockard in the American GNCC championship. Fitted with a lighter more manageable frame, the 450 has the same technical modifications as all the 2009 TXC models: Wave type brake discs, new swing arm calibration, new Sachs shock absorber and a new look with color coded graphics. The engine has a new oil circuit pressure relief valve, a new lubrication system for the con rod bearings and a new filter to prolong bearing life. The gearbox has been updated to offer improved gear change speed and accuracy. Gearbox design has seen changes in terms of gear change linkage, lever and selector mechanisms. The 450 engine has also benefited from a new timing gear chain tensioner that was introduced to improve chain tension and reduce contact pressure. Thanks to this new design, component durability has been extended.

Classic Off-Road Bikes Featured in Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles to Glory Exhibition

Sat, 06 Apr 2013

Back in the 60s, American Honda tested the durability of its motorcycles by sending a CL72 Scrambler on a 950-mile trek through rocks, sand washes, dry lake beds, mountain passes and paved roads. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.

Wed, 18 May 2011

This uber rare 1954 AJS E95, aka The Porcupine, may become the most expensive motorcycle in the world. World-famous auction house, Bonhams, has recently announced that it will handle auctioning of an ultra-rare 1954 AJS E95 during the Pebble Beach Car Week held annually in August at the Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif. Bonhams estimates that due to the rarity of the E95 (only four were completed by British brand AJS) it may see a bid as high as $750,000.

EICMA 2013: Husqvarna 701 Prototype

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

In what direction Husqvarna’s going with this prototype we don’t really know. Husky hasn’t released any factual information about the company’s 701 prototype except for some existential blather on the company’s Facebook page. “It is a glimpse of the future Husqvarna design direction, the philosophy that future Husqvarna’s will follow, where the surfaces of the bodywork are understated, focusing on simplicity.” That’s more bodywork than we’ve seen on any modern Husky.
