THIS IS A HARD TO FIND BIKE. IT HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD FOR MANY YEARS, BUT IT VERY RESTORABLE. THE ENGINE TURNS OVER WITH COMPRESSION. IT IS NOT RUNNING. THE BIKE APPEARS TO BE A PRETTY COMPLETE PIECE. THE FLYWHEEL COVER IS MISSING. THE FRONT FENDER IS PARTIALLY MISSING AS IT BROKE. THE REAR WHEEL DOES NOT ROLL AND WE SUSPECT LOCKED BRAKES OR FROZEN CHAIN. OVERALL A GREAT VERY HARD TO FIND PIECE FOR RESTORATION. Husqvarna to Race Moto3 in 2014

Husqvarna announced it will enter the 2014 Moto3 World Championship, fielding Danny Kent and Niklas Ajo in the 250cc road racing class. The team will be sponsored by energy drink maker Red Bull, which means the team won’t be lacking in funds. Husqvarna did not mention the motorcycle the team will use, but with the company now owned by KTM Chief Executive Officer Stefan Pierer, the Red Bull Husqvarna team will use machines similar to KTM’s winning Moto3 racer.

Husqvarna Developing ABS for Off-Road Use

Husqvarna announced it will introduce the worlds’ first anti-lock braking system designed for off-road racing, equipping a BMW-developed off-road ABS to Husqvarna’s flagship TE449. On paved roads, ABS prevents wheels from locking up, keeping them rotating and providing traction. Off the pavement however, rear wheel lockup is helpful for stopping on loose surfaces such as dirt and gravel.

2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900R Makes Public Debut

The 2012 Husqvarna Nuda 900R made its public debut in Frankfurt, Germany, in the courtyard outside BMW’s display hall. Displayed together with other Husqvarna models as well as motorcycles from parent company BMW. The display bikes were all anchored firmly to their stands and test rides were not available but I did get some seat time on the Nuda.
