304 Silencers

The 304 silencer is recommended for most two-stroke applications. The slightly longer body offers reduced noise output when compared to the R-304. The brushed aluminum body, stainless steel inlet tube and end-cap give you a silencer that looks as good as it performs.

R-304 Silencers

The compact design of the R-304 Silencer offers optimum performance gains and is recommended for closed-course racing only. Hex head screws are used to secure the inlet cap and can be removed easily for quick re-packing of the silencer.

Type 296 Spark Arrestors

The Type 296 Spark Arrestor is specially engineered with an internal metal baffle, chambers and sound absorbing materials for a muffled exhaust sound and no loss of motor performance. The desired sound level is at or near 96dB on most models.

2014 Husaberg Lineup Announced – Final Edition Before Husqvarna Merger

Husaberg may soon be no more, but that hasn’t stopped the Austria-based Swedish brand from unveiling its 2014 lineup of seven models. News broke last week of plans to reunite Husaberg with Husqvarna, to be known as Husqvarna Sportmotorcycle GmbH as of October 2013, making lineup of of seven off-road bikes including both two- and four-stroke models the final traces of the Husaberg as an independent brand. These 2014 models will also give us some indication of what to expect from the new Husqvarna models.

Recall for 6,117 MY2011 KTM and Husaberg Off-road and Competition Models

KTM and Husaberg are recalling about 6,117 off-road motorcycles due to a risk of cracked handlebar clamps. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the handlebar clamps on some off-road KTM and Husaberg models can develop cracks from normal use.

When Pierer Industrie AG purchased Husqvarna from BMW in January, it was obvious some major changes were on their way. Pierer Industries AG is owned by Stefan Pierer, who happens to be chief executive officer of KTM, which also happens to be the parent company of Husaberg. That’s three European motorcycle manufacturers with strong off-road lineages in the same family.
