1979 Honda XR 250 Enduro. This bike is NOT a museum piece, but is complete and does run, shifts through all gears properly, clutch works fine. Gas tank is fair to decent condition. Overall all I would rate its condition as 6.5-7. While it is complete there are some things that need attention. They are:
1) Needs a carb rebuild the needle and seat leaks if gas is left on 2) will need front and rear brake shoes 3) the previous owner for some unknown reason invented his own silencer out of hardware store stuff.... it works but is quite ugly. An OEM muffler IS included with the sale The good stuff: 1) overall it looks pretty nice ( but NOT a museum piece ) 2) has NEW chain and sprockets 3) has NEW Maxis Rear tire 4) Has excellent compression With a small amount of minor rep[air you can hit the trails with confidence OR restore it to museum quality condition. With the few little things it needs fixed, I would not hesitate to ride it all day!! Please Note: There is NO title. Honda Announces 2014 Cruisers, Customs and XR650L
Wed, 04 Sep 2013American Honda announced several models returning for the 2014 model year with no changes save for a couple of new color options, but the same pricing as 2013. These 2014 model announcements include Honda’s 750cc Shadow cruisers, its 1300cc customs, the entry-level 250cc Rebel cruiser and the XR650L dual-sport. Those waiting for more substantial changes will have to wait a bit longer for more 2014 Honda announcements.
