The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. Luca Marini, Valentino Rossi’s Half Brother, To Make Moto3 Debut at Misano

MotoGP.com is reporting that Luca Marini, half brother to nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, will make his Moto3 debut at the Misano round of the MotoGP world championship, Sep. 13-15. Marini, who recently turned 16, meeting the minimum age requirement required for world championship competition, currently lies second in the Italian Moto3 championship aboard his FTR Honda.

2013 Honda CRF250L Dual-Sport Officially Announced for US

As expected, Honda has officially announced it will introduce its new CRF250L to the U.S., offering it as a 2013 model for $4,499. The 2013 Honda CRF250L is powered by a liquid-cooled fuel-injected 249cc Single inherited from the CBR250R, so it carries the same low-friction innovations such as the roller rocker arm design. Like the CBR, the CRF250L is produced in Thailand, helping keep costs low.
