2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb To Use Airfence, Thanks To Honda Sponsorship

After a successful 2013 campaign in the 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where Honda’s own Jeff Tigert won the Pikes Peak 450 class and set a new record, Honda is stepping up its involvement for 2014, as both a sponsor and race participant, with plans to field products in seven distinct race classes. In addition, Honda will be working with the AMA and the Pikes Peak sanctioning body on improvements which will provide new levels of safety to the Motorcycle / ATV / UTV / Sidecar competitors. A Feb. 2 report from Roadracingworld.com states that American Honda has found Neil Hodgson a place to race in the 2009 AMA American Superbike Championship. This new place should feel a lot like his former American Honda home.

Rumored 2013 Honda CBR500, CB500 Captured in Spy Photos

Spy photos have emerged out of Thailand depicting two new Honda motorcycles reputed to be a new CBR500 and a second, naked version, possibly to be named a CB500. The photos were posted on the CBR250.net forum by someone claiming to have inside knowledge of the new 500cc Honda models which would be produced in Thailand where the CBR250R is currently manufactured. The faired version is equipped with dual headlights like the Honda CBR600RR instead of the VFR1200-derived Y-shaped light used on the CBR250R and its smaller siblings the CBR125R and CBR150 offered in some markets.
