Honda Sabre description

Classic 1983 V45 Sabre. Original Owner Bike. Only 18k original miles. Factory Front Fairing. Engine Bar with Highway Pegs. Original light, bezel, and mirrors included should you choose to remove fairing. Original owners manual. I am told that it has the anti theft system but I am not positive.

Recent services performed in June 2016 : Fuel system cleaned and serviced. Carbs cleaned, rebuilt and synchronized. Clutch Master and Slave cylinders rebuilt. New spark plugs and oil change, New front fork seals and oil. Bike fully checked out by Honda Technician. Everything is sound, Battery, Brakes, Tires, Clutch etc....  Runs great and looks damn good for a 33 year old bike!

Aquired from the original owner and carefully brought back to the road. Runs and handles awesome.

The horn and headlight switches work fine and are fully operable, but the buttons for those are missing. I see that assembly here on ebay, cheap. The paint and chrome is in great shape for its age, and I feel the aluminum trim can use a good polishing considering its age.

Quite a high value bang for the buck at this price for this classic.  NADA $1950.00

Are Motorcycles Safer With Antilock Brakes?

Tue, 30 Dec 2008

A new report says riders with ABS-equipped bikes can dramatically reduce the chance of a fatal accident. The study compared fatality rates among riders on bikes that have antilock brakes, and it found that death rates were 38% lower on motorcycles equipped with the optional ABS systems compared to non-ABS bikes. In 2005-2006, the fatal crashes per 10,000 registered motorcycles without antilock brakes was 6.6.

British motorcycle design studio Xenophya Design and product designer Ellis Pitt have teamed up to produce a new company, Mac Motorcycles. Based out of Upton-Upon-Severn in Worcestershire, England, Mac Motorcycles will produce a line of bikes powered by Buell’s air-cooled single cylinder 492cc engines used in the Blast, with a tubular backbone frame. On the company’s website, Pitt describes its bikes as being simple to maintain, include references and details from choppers and bobbers and feature “Harley posture, flat-track manners, Ducati handling”.
