2014 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb To Use Airfence, Thanks To Honda Sponsorship

After a successful 2013 campaign in the 91st running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where Honda’s own Jeff Tigert won the Pikes Peak 450 class and set a new record, Honda is stepping up its involvement for 2014, as both a sponsor and race participant, with plans to field products in seven distinct race classes. In addition, Honda will be working with the AMA and the Pikes Peak sanctioning body on improvements which will provide new levels of safety to the Motorcycle / ATV / UTV / Sidecar competitors. Bradl Staying with LCR Honda for 2014 MotoGP Season

The LCR Honda announced Stefan Bradl has signed a one-year contract extension with Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) that will see the German rider return with the team for the 2014 MotoGP season. Bradl won the 2012 MotoGP Rookie of the Year award with the LCR Honda squad and currently sits sixth in the 2013 championship standings after earning his first career MotoGP-class podium with a second-place result at Laguna Seca. The 2011 Moto2 champion will continue to receive factory support from HRC while racing for Lucio Cecchinello’s LCR squad.

2012 Honda VFR1200F Returns With Some New Features

When Honda first introduced the VFR1200F late in 2009, Editor Duke was an instant believer in the machine’s capabilities. It blurred the line between sportbike and tourer, and the addition of a true dual-clutch transmission that actually works was truly a surprise. Honda is bringing the VFR back for 2012, much to our pleasure, and thankfully the company has spent the past two years developing some subtle but significant changes to it.
