Honda GL1100 Goldwing Aspencade Very clean low mileage example of the venerable GL1100 Goldwing. The odometer shows only 22,562 miles. This is not a barn find, rather a well maintained driver. The bike recently had $1200 in carburetor tuning performed to keep this beauty in perfect running order. The unit is equipped with saddlebags and topcase, factory radio and CB. The radio key has been misplaced but the radio and CB do turn on. Tires are in great condition, showing 3/32nds front and 6/32nds rear on Dunlop D404s. Brakes are 3/32, 4/32nds left and right front respectively. Rears are 5/32nds. The air compressor works as new for front and rear. A clean unit in very good condition overall. Alvaro Bautista on the Gresini Honda set the fastest time at the end of the first day with a 2:00.848. The time is 1.3 second slower than the fastest time Marquez set at the last Sepang test.
Honda to Shift Mid and Large Displacement Motorcycle Production to Thailand
Tue, 29 Nov 2011Honda is reportedly moving production of 400cc and larger motorcycles to Thailand from Japan to reduce production costs and overcome the rising value of the yen. According to Japanese news outlet Daily Yomiuri, Honda plans to produce 400cc and 500cc models at a new factory to be built in the suburbs of Bangkok, Thailand. Honda currently produces small displacement models such as the CBR250R in Thailand, with larger models coming out of Honda’s factory in Kumamoto, Japan.
