Honda CRF description

2012 HONDA CRF450X, Meet the reigning champion of Baja. Just how good is the CRF450X? Heres a hint: it's won more races in Baja than all other recent 450-class machines combined. But this bike is merely a sum of its parts intelligently-engineered parts taken from its MX-winning cousin and specially tuned for the trail. Like the Honda Progressive Steering Damper that helps reduce rider fatigue and improve cornering. An electric starter for easy start-ups in even the worst conditions. A Pro-Link suspension, bulletproof Unicam engine and the kind of durability Honda is known for. Put it all together and you've got perhaps the best off-roader ever built.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.

Dovi given the 1000fps treatment

Fri, 22 Jul 2011

Andrea Dovizioso describes the perfect lap from the start to the corners. All three of the Repsol Honda riders have very different riding styles and comparing the above footage of Dovi against Stoner you can see that he is a lot more conservative on the bike than a ragged lap of his Australian team-mate. Still incredibly rapid though.

Thumbs up for a chilly N.E.C.

Apart from the freaky weather I have to say last week’s Carole Nash Motorcycle Live N.E.C. show was the best Birmingham event I've attended in the ten years. I really appreciate the fact that manufacturers chose to ignore the recession giving us great stands to cater for every enthusiast young and old.  Aprilia made a welcome return and I don’t know anyone that didn’t enjoy admiring the WSB RSV4, surely the the most gorgeous bike on the planet? The Honda stand rarely disappoints and this year was no exception with banking bikes providing fun for all the family.
