Honda CRF description

2012 Honda CRF100F, GET YOUR CRF TO RIDE ! - Built tough to take a beating by pro-level racers honing their skills, but with an easy-going character that helps younger riders learn the fundamentals of off-road riding. The legendary Honda CRF100F has probably put more smiles on more faces over the years than any other bike out there. Its user-friendly controls, hard-to-stall 99 cc 4-stroke engine, and low seat height make it ideal for all types of riders, whether novice or expert, big or small, male or female. And with large 19-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels, the CRF100F can go almost anywhere you ask it to. Add full Showa suspension, a slick-shifting 5-speed gearbox with manual clutch, and racy styling, and you have a bike that won’t spend much time sitting still in your garage.

Alongside the most stunning collection of race and road bikes at their Motegi museum, next to some race bikes, Honda also has a step by step guide on most aspects of riding. I photographed the wonderful text on push starting but I also have lots of equally hilarious instructions on cornering braking and even what a riders goal should be. Watch this space...... oh, and hopefully see you at the NEC over the next ten days!

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.
