Honda CR description

Up for auction is my 1979 DG Racing Honda CR125 w/Fox Racing suspension. The bike runs and shifts as it should. The bike is mostly original with DG Racing radial fin head, Fox Shox rear suspension (serviced by Thor) and the Fox Racing front fork air valve modification. It has about 3 hours on the top end. It has the original exhaust with a minor dent that does not effect performance. New tires and brake pads front and rear. Renthal bars, new grips. I will include to the winning bidder a new OEM 21" front DID wheel and spokes as well as a new 18" Rear wheel with new Buchannon spokes minus hubs. The bike runs great and would be a fun addition to any vintage MXers collection.

Buyer is responsible for shipping and there is no warranty expressed or implied since it is a 34 year old motorcycle.

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.

Day 2 Dakar 2014: Sunderland Wins First Special Stage

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Honda won the second day of competition with Team HRC’s Sam Sunderland claiming victory in the first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Sunderland has had a frustrating time at previous Dakars, dropping out after three days of racing in 2012 and withdrawing a month before last year’s event due to fracturing both his wrists. Today, however, Sunderland made a grand entrance into the club of elite riders by brilliantly winning his first special stage of this year’s Dakar. Having started well behind his teammate, Joan Barreda, the 23-year old Brit superbly overtook Michael Metge and Juan Pedrero on the first part of the route.
