Simoncelli Funeral Services Held in Italy

Fans, friends, family members and prominent figures from the world of sports attended the funeral services for Marco Simoncelli at the Santa Maria Assunta church in Coriano on Thursday, October 27th. The casket was carried into the Assunta church by friends and members of the Gresini team, and at 3pm the services commenced. Flanking the casket  was Simoncelli’s 2008 250cc World Championship Gilera bike on one side, and his MotoGP Honda RC212V on the other. Also in attendance was FIM president Vito Ippolito and CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta.

Honda NC700S and NC700X Coming to Canada – US Availability Still Uncertain

American Honda has not included the recently revealed NC700S and NC700X models in its 2012 list of offerings, but it looks like the two motorcycles will be available in Canada. Honda Canada has not made an official announcement but a dealership in Kelowna, B.C., has published a press release that appears to have come directly from Honda Canada saying the two models will be available in Canada in the summer of 2012. Honda Opens Technical Center in India, Will Introduce New Models Every Quarter

Honda‘s subsidiary in India is opening a new technical center to develop new models for that market. The new research and development center is the first for Honda to focus only two-wheeled vehicles, and the first in all of India to feature an advanced wind tunnel to test vehicle aerodynamics. The goal, for Honda Motorcycle and  Scooter India (HMSI) is to eventually introduce a new model to India every quarter.
