Honda CB description
Up for auction is my 1977 Honda CB400 four Super Sport. I purchased this bike from the second owner approx 2 years ago in good running condition with the intention of restoring it to it's original condition. At the time of purchase it was painted black by the previous owner. The original color is yellow so I took the tank to have the small dents taken out and all the paint stripped. The tank is now completely straight and primed, ready for paint. I also had it inspected by a certified Honda technician. A compression test showed almost no leakdown and even cylinder pressure. It was running a little rough and it was determined that it needed a carb balancing ($65) and a tensioner adjustment ($32). I passed on it with the intentions of doing the work myself. I put about 50 miles on it before parking it to do the work. Unfortunately I was involved in a severe auto accident that now prevents me from riding so I have no choice than to sell my motorcycles. The chrome on this cycle is in very good condition for its age. The exhaust system is all original and only has minor pitting in a couple spots that I couldn't get to show up in photos. This was the selling point for me when I purchased it as original examples are very hard to find in this condition. The front wheel has pitting on the rim. I think this could be rubbed out but can't guarantee it. From ten feet away it's not even noticeable. The right rear spring also has some surface rust that likely can be rubbed out. Other than that it's mostly minor cosmetic issues. Over all the chrome is in good condition. The plastic side covers had been cracked and repaired. The seat cover is original and in good condition but has two small tears on the rear. These can either be repaired or you can replace the seat cover with the brand new seat cover I'm including with the cycle. (I would just repair it.) The right rear turnsignal was broken when I bought it...this will need to be replaced. Finally, it will need a battery. After sitting for two years the battery gave up. Tried charging it but it's holding too well. All in all, this is a very good bike. With a little know-how it could be running running beautifully in a day. Throw some paint on the tank and it'll be a gorgeous classic! Please ask any questions before bidding. If you're local message me and we can set a date to come inspect it, Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I'll help within reason. Title in hand along with the new seat cover I'm including. $300 deposit is due within 24 hours of winning the auction and full payment within 72 hours. Thanks for looking!

Ducati vs. Honda vs. Suzuki: MotoGP porn
Tue, 08 Feb 2011For all you lovers of perfectly welded titanium, amazingly machined aluminium and lovingly crafted fasteners; this blog's for you. These pics were shot at the Sepang MotoGP tests where the bikes were presumably being warmed up, ready for action. Take a look at that Suzuki, it's a work of art.
Would you pay £115,000 for this?
Mon, 25 Oct 2010A HONDA NR750 - one of the most hi-tech production motorcycles ever built - is up for grabs on eBay with an asking price of £115,000.The bike was produced in the early 1990s by Honda to showcase the company's engineering skills; a 32-valve, oval piston V4 engine, Carbon Fibre Composite bodywork and titanium-tinted screen are just some of the revolutionary features that warranted the bike's £37,000 original price tag. This particular 1993 model has covered 5000 miles from new - quite a few for a bike with such a heady price tag. We'd have expected it to come with delivery mileage only. It's being sold by an Essex-based dealer who describes the bike as 'IMMACULATE'.
