Honda CB description
Here is my 1974 Honda CB 360. I got this bike many years ago and rode the heck out of it. Drove it to Minnesota and back from Missouri a few times. I repainted it (Chrysler PXR Brilliant Black), and cleaned/modded the carbs and fuel system one winter, new rear tire and chain/ sprockets..about 7 years ago. Then that next fall the Cam slipper (tensioner) went out. That was at around 15,800 miles and 6 years ago. It sat my garage and I bought a Harley bagger.. This winter I got bored.. Here's what we got. Wider, larger seat from a CL360, New Battery, Brake system converted to none corrosive DOT 5, New Cam slipper, Head re-maned by a local machine shop, bore surface honed to restore better cross hatching, NEW Honda OEM STD bore rings, all new seals and gaskets. Completely broke down and inspected the engine/ transmission. Everything looked excellent inside. I was very impressed. Carbs cleaned, synchronized, and re-jetted (105's was its sweet spot) I also bypassed and removed the difficult to access internal oil filter, and ran external oil lines to a remote filter block, with a small coil to act as a cooler (Yes it cools noticeably to the touch even.) Oil PSI @ startup is around 100 PSI topping out over 200PSI as it revs. After warmup your looking at 5PSI @ idle to 40PSI @ WOT. The engine is very clean inside. It is a fun Zippy, great Running bike. I'm sure there is many more little things I am forgetting to mention. It doesn't run like a factory CB360. It is more aggressive. The paint IS NOT perfect. Setting in the garage it was a wonderful magnet for children whom love to set on it. It has a few chips, scratches, and dings throughout. Same is said about the chrome. Needs new tires. (Rear is low on tread, Front is dry cracking) I could Put new ones on it for extra if buyer wishes. Please communicate. Please look carefully at my pictures. This is not a restored bike. This is not a show bike. It is an attractive and unique bike. I get lots of compliments and heads to turn... This is a hop on it and go ride, rip, or tear around town, county, or state bike. Many more pictures available at your request. Videos as well.. if we can figure out how to send them. It is for sale localy, and the milage will change as I am still enjoying it :) Come look and test ride it if you wish. I love this little bike..but its time to part ways :( I got many vehicles/toys to insure, license, and keep maintained.. gotta thin the herd. I wont promise shipping. Quick Impressions on the Honda NT700V
Thu, 01 Oct 2009UPDATE: Read the full review of the 2010 Honda NT700V now on Motorcycle.com It should be obvious, but one of the perks of being in the business of evaluating motorcycles is the opportunity to see and ride a huge variety of bikes. Recently, while returning a CRF230M to American Honda’s main offices I spotted the new-to-the-U.S. NT700V sitting amongst the gaggle of bikes set aside for the moto media.
