Harley-Davidson Touring description

Up for bids is a 2008 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Classic - FLHTC. I'm the second owner of this bike. It has right at 8k miles (5,364 when I purchased it one year ago). It has the ABS (anti-lock brake system), AM/FM CD radio with the MP3 connection. Two speakers in the front (behind facia). The bike has been lowered 3 inches in the rear. I DO NOT have the original seal and rear touring compartment that came factory with this bike. The bike is overall very clean and in great condition. The only flaws that I can find in the paint is a few small nicks in the paint just to the right of the headlight on the front facia. There is also a few light minor scratches on the bottom side of one of the saddle bags, other than that, this bike is pretty much apologizes free. I just have a few pic's to post right now but if you're really serious I will be glad to send more. Please feel free to email me with any questions. I do have a payoff to Harley Davidson Financial on this bike and they've informed me that they may be able to provide financing (with approved credit) to any potential buyer. Thanks for the look and good luck bidding!

Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).
